Building the necessary post-capitalist infrastructure of the future is no simple task but it’s one we’re willing to take on and we know we’re going to need a lot of help to make it happen. The revolution is a collective effort and we hope you’ll consider contributing how you think you best can. This page is meant to help you figure out how you can best help make a post-capitalist web3 possible in the Breadchain Network.

Who are we looking for contribution?

There are several ways one can begin contributing to Breadchain. Of course before getting into contributions with your labor, anyone can contribute financially to the project by baking BREAD or donating through Open Collective (fiat) or Giveth (donate in crypto including BREAD).

When it comes to working by contributing your labor, there’s a lot we could use help on including not just development but also writing, marketing, design, community and business development, and a whole lot more . In the contributors application form you will find various skills that we would find helpful.

The types of contributions we’re looking for includes

If you’re a developer, here’s our Github page where you’ll see that we use tools and frameworks like wagmi, ethers, nextjs, typescript, tailwindcss, solidity, etc.

Breadchain Cooperative

But more than perhaps anything, we are looking for people with emotional maturity, post-capitalist entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to work autonomously. This includes those who have experience working in cooperative environments or eager to learn how. We suggest the book “Better work together” from the folks at Enspiral which forms much of the inspiration for how we work together.

Better Work Together

Working in a democratic organization like Breadchain is not like a traditional work environment and had different expectations than a hierarchical or corporate organization. This book is a good start as well as the practices professed by our friends at Microsolidarity is another place to get a sense of what it means and how to succeed in this type of organizing.
